MR Grade Plywood

MR grade plywood is a type of composite board whose water resistance is enhanced through specific processes. It is mainly used to solve the problems of easy delamination, deformation and mold growth of ordinary plywood in humid environments, and is widely suitable for indoor humid areas and outdoor semi-exposed scenarios. MR grade plywood's moisture-proof capability mainly stems from two major technical designs: Firstly, the adhesive selected is MUF or PF, with a waterproof grade reaching the WBP standard. It can withstand 24-hour normal temperature immersion or 72-hour boiling water test, without the adhesive layer peeling off or the board delaminating. Second, the base material treatment is more rigorous. The single boards are dried at high temperatures to a moisture content of 8%-12%, reducing the expansion and contraction rate after absorbing moisture. Some products are also coated with waterproof films (such as phenolic films, PVC films on the surface to further prevent water penetration. MR grade plywood can be used indoors for kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and basement partition walls/floor backing boards. It can be used outdoors for balcony floors, canopy backing boards, and the base layer of exterior walls in low-rise buildings. It can also be used as the base material for special scenarios such as shipping packaging boxes and the shells of aquaculture equipment.
